Welcome to Okareer (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We take your privacy and data security seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the Service website and the Okareer Agent browser extension (“the Extension”) collect, process, and protect your information, so that you can use our services with confidence.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide our core job matching and resume analysis services, we only collect the information necessary for the Service to function:
- Account login status verification: When you log in to the Service website, the Service and the Extension may read your login authentication status through secure browser credential cookies. This is used only to verify your identity and securely associate analysis reports with your account. We do not collect, read, transmit, or store your account password.
- Job posting information: When you use the Service or the Extension to analyze a third-party job page that you are viewing, the Extension may temporarily access publicly available job posting information locally in your browser, such as job descriptions, requirements, and company names. This information is transmitted to Okareer servers through an encrypted connection and is used only by our AI modules to perform personalized resume-job matching analysis and generate your dedicated report.
2. Local Data Storage
To provide a smoother user experience and reduce repeated loading time, the Extension may temporarily store analyzed job posting content in your browser’s local storage. This cached data remains entirely on your personal device and will be automatically cleared after a period of time. When you query the same job posting again, this allows the Service to provide faster feedback without repeatedly reading the original page.
3. Information Protection and Privacy Commitments
- No sharing with third parties: We are committed to never selling, renting, exchanging, or sharing your personal information, resume data, or any job posting information accessed by the Service with any third-party organization or advertiser.
- Secure data transmission: All data transmissions are protected using industry-standard encryption technology, including HTTPS, to safeguard your data during transmission and prevent eavesdropping or tampering.
- No tracking of unrelated browsing activity: The Extension strictly follows the principle of least privilege. It only operates on job pages and the Service website when you actively trigger a job analysis. We do not collect, record, track, or monitor your browsing history or online activities on unrelated websites.
4. User Control and Data Deletion
You retain full control over your personal data. You may request deletion of your account and all historical matching analysis reports at any time through the personal settings page on the Service website. Once deleted, all data associated with your account will be permanently erased from our servers and cannot be recovered. You may also disable or remove the Extension from your browser at any time.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable laws and regulations. Any revised terms will be posted on this page and will take effect from the date of publication.
